The communion tables are set with juice and bread for each of us. We didn’t earn it. We can’t be “good enough”. God has continued to initiate, and Jesus welcomes us to the tables. Jesus is the embodiment of God’s I will be with you. Jesus lived that promise and then extended that promise when he ascended to be with the Father. That he will be with us wherever we go. By sending the Holy Spirit. The table is a good place to meet God. To bring our fears and place them before the Lord. Each of us is welcome and welcomed.
